About me
Lilia serves as the director of special education for Moorpark Unified School District. In her role, Lilia oversees the special education programs at 10 schools for students from preschool to post-secondary. She oversees policy and guides positive systemic change to improve inclusive practices. She has previously served as a program specialist and school psychologist in Ventura and Los Angeles Counties.
Lilia was born and raised in Los Angeles. She holds a bachelor's degree in Psychology with a minor in Early Childhood Education from UCLA and a master's degree in Educational Psychology from Chapman University.She recently earned her Educational Leadership Doctorate from California Lutheran University. Lilia is a member at large of the Simi Valley Moorpark Management Association. She prides herself on advocating for marginalized youth and supporting Inclusive Practices in all schools. Lilia is a mother to three school-aged children.
