About me
Although I’m in my 28th year in education, I’m still enamoured with the profession! I started out as an AVID and English teacher in 1996 at Orosi High School in Cutler-Orosi Joint Unified and then moved to the Fresno County Office of Education to support AVID schools in 2008. After returning to COJUSD, my roles include AVID Site and District Coordinator, dual enrollment English instructor for College of the Sequoias and Edu10 for Reedley College. I am also a Teacher Leader in the San Joaquin Valley Writing Project (SJVWP) as well as the newly minted Assistant Director of Equity and Diversity. I am also a California Association of Teachers of English (CATE) board member. I’m a huge fan of AVID, Packback, the California Writing Project, and trying out the many ways the three intersect to engage students in writing and reading.
