With a steadfast commitment to educational technology spanning two decades, I am proud to serve as the current Chief Technology Officer at Ventura County Office of Education and I am a CITE Certified Chief Technology Officer. Armed with a bachelor's degree in information systems security, my professional journey has been a testament to continuous growth and leadership. Over the past 16 years, I have seamlessly blended my technical expertise with educational leadership, navigating the dynamic landscape of technology integration in the academic sphere. As a founding member and former Chair of the CITE Ventura Gold Coast Regional Group, and currently as the President of the CASBO Tri-Counties Section, I've been instrumental in fostering collaboration and innovation within the educational technology community.
My enthusiasm for educational technology lies in its transformative power to reshape learning experiences. Witnessing the positive impact of technology on education fuels my dedication to this field. In every leadership role, I find fulfillment in spearheading initiatives that empower educators, engage students, and bridge the digital divide. The ever-evolving nature of technology ensures that each day brings new challenges and opportunities, making every moment in this field uniquely invigorating.
Beyond the professional realm, I find solace and joy in spending time with my cherished family. Married to a wonderful partner, I am a proud parent to four children and five grandchildren. Family gatherings are a cornerstone of my life, providing a balance to the dynamic nature of my professional pursuits. In the rare moments when technology takes a backseat, my interests include exploring the world through the lens of photography, staying abreast of the latest technological advancements, and indulging in the camaraderie of sports. This holistic approach to life, balancing family, passion, and work, defines my journey in both personal and professional spheres.
