With nearly two decades of leadership in education, Dr. Gutierrez has dedicated their career to fostering student success, equity, and systemic improvement. As Program Manager for Colton-Redlands-Yucaipa ROP, Dr. Gutierrez oversees Career Technical Education (CTE) programs across multiple districts, ensuring innovative learning experiences that prepare students for future success.
Previously, as Director of Multilingual Services for Coachella Valley Unified School District, she led initiatives supporting English learners, dual-language education, and migrant education, driving policy advocacy through collaborations such as DELAAN and the Long-Term English Learner Community of Practice. Her expertise extends to administrative leadership, having served as Principal of San Bernardino High School and Assistant Principal across various levels and districts, where she has strengthened curriculum development, student engagement, and instructional excellence.
Holding an Ed.D in Organizational Leadership from Brandman University and multiple credentials from California State University, Dr. Gutierrez has cultivated expertise in change management, human dynamics, and systems leadership. Her professional development includes certifications from the National Institute of School Leaders (NISL), extensive equity training, and national coaching programs, positioning her as a thought leader in educational transformation.
Beyond her administrative roles, Dr. Gutierrez is an active voice in professional organizations such as ACSA, CALSA, CABE, and WASC, serving as a mentor, presenter, and contributor to education policy development. Their accolades include the Equity Warrior Award, CALSA's Honoring Our Own recognition, and multiple leadership awards for their impact in advancing equitable education.
A published author and featured speaker at leading conferences, Dr. Gutierrez has presented on critical topics such as community partnerships, multilingual education, and leadership development. Their research, including their dissertation on emotional intelligence in educational leadership, continues to inform best practices in school administration.
